Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I’m located in Columbus, Ohio in the suburb of Blacklick and have an in-home studio.

Do you travel? What are your travel fees?

I do offer travel! If travel is included in your booking, it includes 25 miles roundtrip. If it is not included in your booking and my schedule allows me to travel to you, all miles of the trip would be an additional cost.

Do you offer hair services?

Trust me, you don’t want me to do your hair. I only offer makeup services at this time. I would be happy to refer you to some very talented hairstylists in your area.

How long have you been doing makeup?

I’ve been doing makeup since 2013. I launched my business in 2020. I am a self-taught makeup artist who’s passionate about making people feel their best. I am always learning and trying to improve. I have taken courses in makeup and kit sanitization, infection prevention and control, and color theory to help stay up to date with the latest techniques and practices.

Do I need to bring my own products?

Absolutely not. I provide everything you need to complete your makeup look. If there’s a specific lip color or lash you prefer and I don’t carry it, you are more than welcome to bring it along.

What does your touch up kit include?

For certain appointments, I provide touch up kits to my clients to help keep their makeup fresh during long events. I use high quality, long lasting makeup, but I like to provide my clients with a little extra support. My touch up kit includes a beauty sponge, powder puff, lip color that was used during application (cream and gloss only), blotting sheet, makeup remover wipe, q-tips for touch ups, and a few complimentary goodies.

Do you offer airbrush makeup?

I do not currently offer airbrush makeup. I prefer working with traditional liquid and cream foundations. I find they can be more customizable to every skin type.

What should I expect at my appointment?

My goal is to provide you with a luxurious makeup experience. This includes clear and timely communication before, during, and after your appointment, skin care prep catered to your skin type and needs, professional, long lasting makeup application, and a fun experience! If you’re a first timer, don’t worry! I will walk you through the whole process. I’ll guide you when to close your eyes, and move your head. If you have any questions about your appointment, feel free to ask!

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards and cash. Unfortunately, I no longer accept Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle.

What do I need to do in preparation for my appointment?

The best thing to do is to be sure your skin is freshly washed and moisturized before your appointment. I also recommend exfoliating the night before to get rid of any dead skin flakes. It will provide you with a smoother makeup application. I recommend wearing a button down or zip up shirt if you are planning to change clothing after your makeup application.

What if I have allergies or sensitive skin?

Please disclose any allergies in advance and I will try to accommodate you. I use high quality skincare and makeup to avoid skin sensitivity. I keep a very detailed spreadsheet of every product I use in my kit, when it was purchased, when it expires, and a list of all of the ingredients in that product. This helps me track any ingredients you may be allergic to and when products need to be replaced.

What if I have to cancel?

If you are cancelling a wedding appointment, you must do so at least 30 days or more in advance. After the 30 day mark you will be charged the remainder on the day of your appointment. If you're cancelling any single, non-wedding appointments you must do so within 48hrs of the appointment. Otherwise you will be charged the remainder. The retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable.
